Short intro
A rare version of Marillion's Estonia. It is awsome From the album Marillion and the Positive Light - Tales from the Engine From The Engine Room is a remix of This Strange Engine with a few exceptions and one extra addition. It was conducted by Marc Mitchell and Mark Daghorn of The Positive Light. Both Marillion fans, they approached the band with this remix of the previous record. The remix album was still in the rough stages, but they asked the band for permission to complete and release it. The band were delighted at what they heard and gladly gave them the green light to complete the project. Tales from the Engine is indeed an album for the Marillion completionists. Estonia is very enjoyable and honours the original, Memory of Waters is just a techo-house remix nothing much, This Strange Engine is sort of a chillout track, quite good but unfortunately longer than the original song which definitely is a drawback if One Fine Day and 80 Days are decent songs, I have to express my shock and indignation for. This Strange Engine was one of the record that I could live with from the Mark II Marillion. Not a great one there won't be any to my standards but good. I have never been keen on remixes. dance band the. Marillion teams up with U. dance band the Positive Light to produce a remix album of tracks from the 1997 album This Strange Engine. Although the album breathes new life into a fairly weak release, it will appeal to techno-dance fans far more than Marillion aficionados. The remix of Memory of Water was a minor dance club hit in Europe, prompting the general release of the album the initial release was privately labeled. Tales from the Engine Room Remix Album: Released January 1998, Reissued to retail June 1998. In 1996, Positive Light approached us with a project: to remix an entire album. As we had just finished This Strange Engine, we provided masters for 'Estonia'. When the remix came back, we were convinced: Positive Light seemed to have an element in their work that we hadn't often heard in the genre before - depth of emotion, empathy, soul or whatever you want to call something that elevates music above mere entertainment. And so the rest of the TSE masters were handed over. Positive Light Marillion Format: Audio CD. New from. Used from. Audio CD, Import, December 26, 2005. Please retry. After purchasing this album months later, it had the same magical effect. Then I bought This Strange Engine by Marillion, and liked it, but you know how it is when you hear one version of something before hearing another version. Having said that, this album flopped as a gift for a friend who I thought would love it Buy it, it's hard to find . Neo Prog. Band's List Neo Prog Marillion The Positive Light :Tales from the Engine.
