A: Super Funky Techno Crossover. Rocking a funky bassline line a quick punched vocal and bags of personality. A few sustained synths add to what's otherwise a descriptively sparce pot but for me it's endlessly enjoyable. [TEN]
B1: Techno. Fairly driving, fairly tribal with restrained vocal loop. The punchy synth stabs mark this one out above average and it rolls along without getting tiresome. Superior tool. [EIGHT]
B2: Hip/Hop. Moody, electronic and largely instrumental relying more on vocal samples. It lacks any charm so scores accordingly. [FOUR]
C: Chunky Jazzy House (45RPM). Funky authentic bass-line, even the synth lead begins sounding like an oboe before it's effected. Not any huge progression but the building blocks are such that the interest is maintained. Solid funky stomper. [NINE]
D1: Techno. Dark, funky (plucked) bassline. Atmospheric vocal sample. Again Mannix manages to sustain the track without huge progression just subtle tweaking. It's a fine skill to have and used effectively throughout this release. [TEN]
D2: House/Techno Crossover. The bulding blocks here are distictly funky club house. All the main instruments and the progression have a house sound but the pace of the track falls into techno teritory as does the sinister synth that joins the mix at half way. Still jacking and funky but there's that darker edge that's more resolutely in the techno stable. Despite Mannix gift for drawing a lot out of little this tracks probably wanes at the death though you'll probably have mixed out by then. [NINE]
