Live in Europe, early seventies: originally this concert was printed in Europe under the title "Live" from a one-off company, with the catalogue SO 3478, with a deluxe printed and laminated jacket, thenafter was repressed from Takrl guys under the title "Bundled Sunspray Demise", with catalogue Takrl 1923 and finally, metal plates were reused for the late Aftermath production under this title.

Mahavishnu is an album by the Mahavishnu Orchestra, released in 1984 by Warner Bros. During the 1980s, John McLaughlin reformed the Mahavishnu Orchestra for release of the two albums Mahavishnu and Adventures in Radioland. This band's overall sound was radically different from the original Mahavishnu Orchestra, in particular because of McLaughlin's extensive use of the Synclavier synthesiser system. It was released in the first half of 1973 and is the last studio album by the original Mahavishnu Orchestra line-up, before the group dissolved, although Between Nothingness and Eternity, a live album, was recorded and released later that same year. As in the case of The Mahavishnu Orchestra's previous album, The Inner Mounting Flame, Birds of Fire consists solely of compositions by John McLaughlin. This includes the track Miles Beyond Miles Davis, which McLaughlin dedicated to his friend and former bandleader. Emboldened by the popularity of Inner Mounting Flame among rock audiences, the first Mahavishnu Orchestra set out to further define and refine its blistering jazz-rock direction in its second - and, no thanks to internal feuding, last - studio album.
