Doors 11. Where Did We Go Wrong. However, for 'Rooms', his latest album on Planet Mu, hes well ahead of the curve, approaching the album in a way hes never worked before. The tracks on Rooms were started on the spur of the moment, often whilst traveling and finished in the studio, with the notion in mind that great moments of inspiration are fleeting so it's best to grab on to that moment when it happens and squeeze it for all its worth. Despite a bit of genre-hopping, Machinedrum's latest album, Rooms, comes together quite nicely. There are moments tracks influenced by the world of wonky hip hop instrumentals-you . Planet Mu. Stewart enjoys these kind of tactful reactions. He's spent 10 years releasing music under the Machinedrum moniker, much of it worthwhile, much of it in widely varying styles of electronic composition, from IDM to deep house and back. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Machinedrum's newest album, Rooms, which was released on Planet Mu on July 25. Rooms might be cited as an especially poppy example of its genre because of the almost-constant presence of a human voice and an autotuned one, at that, but I for one think that this description is overly simplistic. Yes, there are vocals everywhere, and you might at first try to grasp onto these vocals to better understand the music itself, but you really have to let go of the vocals to like this album.
