The single sleeve (non g/f) was produced from 1969. The majority pressed from 1969 onwards do state c 1969 on the back cover.

However, only the ones pressed during 1969, and possibly running into early 1970, were still pressed by Decca, as their contract for RCA had come to an end. These are identified by Decca's: Mother Stamping coding stamped Matrix numbering system cover's spine tapered at the ends.

The family had escaped the pogroms in Galicia which was then part of the Austrian Empire. Oliver is the soundtrack to the 1968 British musical drama film of the same name. The soundtrack won an Oscar for Best Original or Adaptation Score at the 41st Academy Awards in 1969. It reached number 4 in the UK Albums Chart and spent 99 weeks on the chart.
