This is the Lenny & Squiggy originally of Laverne & Shirley fame. Michael McKean (Lenny) and Christopher Guest (Nigel Tufnel) later appeared together in Spinal Tap and The Folksmen.
The keyboard player, Murphy Dunne, played with The Blues Brothers. Ming The Merciless was once purported to be Kiss drummer Peter Criss (without "cat" costume and make-up), though Criss denied it was him. McKean has since stated it was drummer Don Poncher.
Some copies were packaged with a fold-out color poster.

Short intro
Lenny and the Squigtones is a fictional musical group headed by Michael McKean and David Lander, the two actors who played the characters Lenny and Squiggy on the television series Laverne & Shirley. The group's eponymous debut album, Lenny & Squiggy Present Lenny and the Squigtones, was released on the Casablanca label in 1979. Recorded live at the Roxy in Hollywood, they perform parodies of 50s rock ballads Night After Night, Creature Without a Head. In between, there is schtick and patter. This is Lenny & The Squigtones one night live at The Roxy in Hollywood. Eccentric and hilarious. If you remember anything of Laverne & Shirley, you will remember Lenny Kosnowski Michael McKean and Andrew Squiggy Squigman David lander and their band. Pre-Spinal Tap Nigel Tufnel Christopher Guest makes an appearance and Peter Criss KISS is in the photo as their drummer sans makeup, but I'm not sure if he played on the album. This is the 50s version of Spinal Tap. Great stuff. Laverne and Shirley's annoying greaser neighbors, Lenny Kosnowski Michael McKean and Andrew Squiggy Squiggman David L. Lander form this two man band to play the Shotz brewery talent show in several episodes. In the first season episode Suds to Stardom first aired 11 May 1976, they sing Starcrossed, and I Believe. In the second season episode Christmas at the Booby Hatch 21 Nov. 1976 they perform The Jolliest Fat Man, but not as Lenny and the Squigtones. Later in the second season.
