Laura Allan just passed away on May 19th, 2008 from a six month battle with cancer. Laura's first album 'Laura Allan' also suffers the same is only available from the import from 2002 re-released CD from Japan for 51 dollars. Edmund Venella. Laura Allan's Reflections album is very much in this category. All four pieces are similar, blending Allan's mostly lyric-free vocalizations and a method of continuous zither miniature boarded harp playing which evokes images of thousands of flower petals and pollen blowing in a gentle forest breeze. The standout is the epic Passage, which mostly keeps the same formula but adds distant synthesizer drones, gentle stereo effects, and heavily reverbed flute.
