Short intro

kimrobn75 This is album got me through some sh t. Favorite track: Said the King to the River. davekillcountysmith Stunning. La Dispute spent roughly a year of its existence writing and recording their first full length album, called Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair, in hopes of accurately displaying their growth both as individuals and as a single artistic unit while creating an end product that encourages the listener to both think and feel. Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair is the second studio album by American post-hardcore band La Dispute. Supported by three release shows, it was released on November 11, 2008, alongside Here, Hear II. through No Sleep Records on both CD and vinyl. The album's title is derived from an Asian folktale, which the album's lyrics loosely follow. Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair Q&A. Producers La Dispute. La Dispute definitely fills the gap for those who are looking for some post-hardcore. Not only does it fill that gap, it keeps that gap full for a while. Not only do they have some interesting and sometimes original experimentation on this side of post-hardcore, but they play the genre at top of its game and topping almost any other band around today playing in this genre. The bass player is incredibly throughout the album. The true strength of the vocals though lies in the screams you can omit the thought here and it'll sound better. Just a few stuff like this here and there that microsoft word can't really pick up on. iarescientists December 4th 2008. Completa la tua Collezione su La Dispute. Love the look of and just this album itself but this version just can't do it for me. Arrived with very noticeable scuffs in the vinyl itself which causes annoying skips in a few places, don't know if I just got a bad press but I hope they aren't all like this.
