Kiss' Destroyer tour of 1976 resulted in quite a few bootleg LPs the headbangers' August 20, 1976 show at Anaheim Stadium in Southern California gave us Kiss Destroys Anaheim, Parts 1 and 2. Instead of putting out a two-LP set, the illicit Idle Mind Productions a prominent bootlegger of the 1970s chose to release two separate LPs. On both LPs, the sound quality is OK-not fantastic, not terrible, but OK. Destroyer is the fourth studio album by American hard rock band Kiss, released on March 15, 1976 by Casablanca Records in the US. It was the third successive Kiss album to reach the top 40 in the US, as well as the first to chart in Germany and New Zealand. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on April 22, 1976, and platinum on November 11 of the same year, the first Kiss album to achieve platinum. BUT it is definately the first receipt for selling their soul. This was the first Kiss album I ever got, and as a nine year old it sounded so foreign,with that intro to Detroit Rock City and the production in general, which sounded dark and ominous. I have always felt it was much heavier than most of the other albums in their discography. It contains some of my favorite Kiss songs and a few that I absolutely detest.
