Just not close to the original version that I own although far better than a cd or downloaded "rip" IMHO...There is good width to the soundstage but no depth. And lots of background sound, as mentioned in the other review. I feel that if you can find an earlier pressing that you will have far better sound quality...

By depth are you referring to the sense of separation between the instruments? Does it sound overly compressed?

Music sounds fine, but there's a lot of hiss underneath everything. I know for a fact it's not my receiver, there's just a lot of background noise. VERY noticeable between tracks and during quiet sections of songs.Yeah, this isn't a great pressing.

Ditto, no hiss on my copy. The occasional small pop here and there, but no consistent surface noise. Try getting another copy and returning the one you have.

Anyone could say how does it sounds? In the 2007 release page here in Discogs someone tells that sounds loud and scratchy compared to the original. Another opinions?

I have a copy and it sounds great. Good bass too. The only problem is that Ian's vocals are just a bit lower in the mix, but maybe that's just me. It's still a really good pressing.
