Short intro
Next is the third studio album by Journey, released in 1977. The band continued the formula from 1976's Look into the Future but this album also retains some of their jazzy progressive rock style from the first album. It is the last album to feature Gregg Rolie as the primary lead singer. Spaceman and Nickel and Dime were the two singles released from Next. Journey's 1977 album Next. Track List: 1. Journey released 'Next,' their third final album in the band's original four-man format, in February 1977. Journey 's shift toward a platinum-selling pop sensibility was already in motion when their third studio album arrived in February 1977. The band was rewarded with its highest-charting success so far though, in a sign that they weren't quite there yet, Next rose to only No. Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie , both former members of Santana , gamely tried to balance two disparate musical worlds, but Next still often clung to their improvisational roots. Jamming, Schon admitted in a 1980 talk with Rolling Stone , was the easiest thing we could do. Next - Journey. Спасибо Отличная работа, пока еще в силе уникальный сочный гитарно-клавишный саунд путешественников. Больше всего, пожалуй, понравилась People Из трех первых альбомов я на первое место ставлю дебютник, затем Next и Look Into the Future. Всем приятного прослушивания в компании путешественников. Listen free to Journey Next Spaceman, People and more. 8 tracks 37:27. The band continued the formula from 1976's Look into the Future but this album also retains some of their progressive rock style from the first album. It is the last album to feature Gregg Rolie on lead vocals. The instrumental titled Cookie Duster was listed in very early pressings of the album, though not actually included on the pressings, and then not listed on the cover art at all. It was later released on their Time compilation album. With Next, Journey began to break away from the jazzy progressive rock inclinations that dominated their first two albums, yet without a forceful lead vocalist like Steve Perry, the group lacks focus and a pop sensibility, and its attempts at straight-ahead poprock suffer considerably as a result.
