Jorge Cafrune was born in the estancia La Matilde of El Sunchal, Perico Del Carmen, Jujuy in a family of SyrianLebanese origin. He completed his secondary studies in San Salvador de Jujuy, during which he took guitar classes with Nicolás Lamadrid.
