Produced by Bob Johnston, the album marked Dylan's return to semi-acoustic instrumentation and folk-influenced songwriting after three albums of lyrically abstract, blues-indebted rock music. It isnt so much the vocal similarities as the stylistic touches. A cover of Tommy James Crystal Blue Persuasion is one of Hardings oddest moves and remains the biggest curiosity in his catalog.
