Short intro

Invisible Nature is a live album by English saxophonist John Surman and American drummer Jack DeJohnette recorded in Tampere and Berlin in 1999 and released on the ECM label. Surman has long been a very flexible and mostly laid-back player, while DeJohnette also has the ability to fit in almost. Other than Song for World Forgiveness a ballad mostly by DeJohnette, the music is primarily freely improvised yet manages to be melodic, diverse, and logical. The performances are atmospheric, with both players utilizing electronics in spots while retaining their own musical personalities. Surman has long been a very flexible and mostly laid-back player, while DeJohnette also has the ability to fit in almost anywhere. Reed player John Surman and drummer Jack DeJohnette go back a long way. More than three decades ago, these players met in London for regular jams their paths have intersected regularly ever since. Their first record as a duo, The Amazing Adventures of Simon Simon, defined a spacious, open feel. Now back for more with Invisible Nature with live performances recorded over two days in Europe, both players make use of electronics to expand the range and texture of their acoustic instruments. Surman's saxophone and clarinet playing has always had a light, bird-like tone no exceptions here. Invisible Nature. John Surman, Jack DeJohnette 19-02-2002. 총 시간:1 h 15 min. John Surman, Jack Dejohnette - Invisible Nature Live In Tampere And Berlin - Cd. Recorded live at the jazz festivals of Tampere and Berlin in November 2000, Invisible Nature is a fabulous album, as rich in unfolding mythic or storytelling overtones as it is in its diversely inflected melodic accents and rhythmic drive. With the exception of the concluding Song for World Forgiveness, which features composer DeJohnette on piano, all of the 75 minutes here are improvised, but in a way that comes across as thoroughly structured and intensely lyrical. And while some critics referred to this recording as organic, I struggle to find that quality. Given the presence of electronics. Played incredibly well by both artists in and of itself disqualifies the organic label. Oh well. Regardless, this is a brilliant live recording ECM trademark of sophisticated chill, atmospheric ambiance which. read more. Invisible Nature with Jack DeJohnette Live in Tampere and Berlin is a post-fusion contemporary music live album recording by JOHN SURMAN released in 2002 on CD, LPVinyl andor cassette. Phew Incredibly, it is over twenty years since their previous duo release, The Amazing Adventures of Simon Simon. This album is its long overdue follow-up. The pair have intermittently played together live, and this album was recorded in November 2000, at concerts in Berlin and Tampere, Finland. With the exception of the DeJohnette composition, Song For World Forgiveness, all t
