Short intro

Jackson State Community College is a public community college in Jackson, Tennessee. It is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents and offers associate degrees in arts, science, and applied science programs. It has the largest enrollment of any college in Jackson. Jackson State's first president was Dr. Wright, who served from 1967 until his death in 1976. Walter L. Nelms was president of the college for 21 years, until his retirement in 1997. He was succeeded by Charlie Delmer Roberts Jr. The of Jackson State Community College understands the disappointment and frustration that the graduates feel in response to the decision to proceed with an unconventional graduation ceremony. We have sought to maintain our tradition of honoring our graduates and recognizing their hard work while ensuring the health and well-being of those graduates and their families as well as our faculty and staff. The Jackson 5 was an American music group, formed in 1964 by the Jackson family brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael. The quintet's first concert tour was in the United States, where they performed in cities such as Boston, Cincinnati and New York City throughout the final quarter of 1970.
