Derived from a song bag that included Blues Run the Game, Yellow Walls, My Name Is Carnival, and You Never Wanted Me, the album is kind of overpowering - rather ironically, it's the downbeat nature of those same songs that likely would have prevented Jackson C. Noisy pressing, I've had a few other people tell me theirs was noisy as well. I suspect some people have more forgiving set ups or just received a copy that isn't as noisy. Same goes for the Simon Finn reissue.

Does anyone have both this and the complete recordings vol. 1 and could do a comparison in terms of sound quality etc? Thank you in advance if so! :)

there's a bit of background noise on the quieter tracks on the side 1, but side 2 sounds great. also the vinyl is very thin and could double for an effective wobble-board!

Really impressed with my copy. Sounds great with no noise or pops. I listened with headphones and thought I could I hear some background noise on the first track but I think it's from the original recording.
