Short intro

Hidden Trip. Bom Shiva. Illusion Shankara. Psycho Winter. Holy Land Melo-D. However, this album stays easy to classify as Nitz because of the zappy kicks which are not to be found in any other genre I know. A few words about the music itself, then. Illusion Shankara has better ideas and gets less annoying after a few listenings. Shankar for example is filled with great fluent melodies and a stunning kick that pounds every single bit of adrenaline out of your body. 1 Hidden Trip Bom Shiva 7:25 2 Illusion Shankara Psycho Winter 7:45 3 Illusion Shankara Holy Land Melo-D 6:08 4 Illusion Shankara Slide 8:11 5 Hidden Trip Jungle Crade 6:34 6 Hidden Trip Friendly Skies 7:07 7 Illusion Shankara Morning People 8:28 8 Illusion Shankara Shankar 7:02. Another forgotten CD among the hundred of other releases in the Nitzhonot genre. This one stands out because of its particular usage of melodies. Unlike most albums & compilations from that time, you will find few Eastern influences on Bom Shiva. Most tracks here are heavily leaning towards the Epic Trance & Uplifting scene that would arise in Greece some years later. However, this album stays easy to classify as Nitz because of the zappy kicks which are not to be found in any other genre I know...

A few words about the music itself, then. Is it worth the chase & buy on Ebay? I consider it as a mediocre release with tracks 4 and 8 standing above the others. Illusion Shankara has better ideas and gets less annoying after a few listenings. "Shankar" for example is filled with great fluent melodies and a stunning kick that pounds every single bit of adrenaline out of your body. Idan Amsalem on the other hand doesn't sound very innovative. His track "Jungle Crade" uses the same 5 notes over and over again...

I'd give it a 7/10. Worth the search, in my eyes.
