The songs had a slightly harder edge with much stronger emphasis on Derrys guitar work. Ray Coburn had left the band after The Big Prize, and was replaced by Rob Preuss, whos keyboard work gave a different flavor to the songs, but were a great complement to the heavier guitars on the album.
