Short intro

Wild Honey is the 13th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released December 18, 1967 on Capitol Records. It was the group's first foray into soul music and was heavily influenced by the R&B of Motown and Stax Records artists such as Stevie Wonder. Lead single and opening track Wild Honey became a minor hit with only a short chart stay. Its follow-up Darlin' reached number 11. The album itself reached number 24 in the US and number seven in the UK. More than Honey is a 2012 Swiss documentary film directed by Markus Imhoof about honeybee colonies in California, Switzerland, China and Austria. The film was submitted for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. Hi Honey is the third studio album by American rock and roll band Low Cut Connie. It was released on April 21, 2015 on Contender Records. Guests who appear on the album include Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards, as well as Dean Ween and Greg Cartwright. Hi Honey was recorded at a small space owned by Daptone Records and produced by Thomas Brenneck, who is known for his work with Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. More than Honey is More than Good. Today at work I was bombarded by texts from my best friend about the movie More than Honey. By the end I was impressed and intrigued. More than Honey took a look at the diminishing bee population and the causes behind what seems to be the beginning of the end for this species. The movie also shows the effect the lack of bees is having on our environment and the worldwide agriculture industry. Drawing the audience in from the beginning with a quote from Einstein stating that if all the bees were to die off humans would be the next to go. Wild Honey had a looser, funkier feel than any previous Beach Boys effort, at times approaching a kind of bleached-out white soul. The resulting music was often quite pleasant, for the great harmonies if nothing else, but the material and arrangements were quite simply thinner than they had been for a long time. The record does feature a nice Top 20 hit in Darlin' even if it was a rewrite of a song that had been composed four years earlier, and recorded by Sharon Marie. The small hit single Wild Honey, with its seductive theremin lines, was also a highlight, and. In some ways, Honey moves drastically further in each direction. Its sounds are more unnatural than ever-metronome beats, vocoder recordings, and supped-up synths abound Beach 2k20 even morphs the tone of a text message sending into a quasi-drop-but, notably, theyre more spread out and less measured than on past albums. Arrangements, like on the ethereal Baby Forgive Me, rely on open space in new, dazzling, and disconcerting ways each pause begging the listener to guess what direction the track will head off in next. MORE THAN HONEY is the provocative yet touching tale of what may happen to mankind all over the world. The fact that the Beach Boys are apparently formally back on the Capitol label, rather than on their own label Brothers Records which was distributed by Capitol, is a good clue to the direction of their latest album. They have retrenched musical forces for a more solid approach after the disaster of their Smiley Smile Brothers Records 9001, an abortive attempt to match the talents of Lennon and McCartney. This new record is the convalescence after the illness, a necessary pause and - since standing still is moving into the past - a step backward
