Herbert Jeffrey Hancock born April 12, 1940 is an American pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, composer, and actor. Hancock started his career with Donald Byrd. He shortly thereafter joined the Miles Davis Quintet, where he helped to redefine the role of a jazz rhythm section and was one of the primary architects of the post-bop sound. Probing ever farther into disco and dance music, Feets Dont Fail Me Now is laden with pounding drums, punchy slap basses, fat synthesizers and Hancocks vocals, realized through the Sennheiser Vocoder. Produced by David Rubinson and Friends, Inc. and Herbie Hancock. Recorded and mixed 1978 by Fred Catero and David Rubinson at The Automatt, S.
