The album has been recorded and co-produced by Torben Sminge and mixed in Copenhagen's outstanding Medley Studio. In the creation of music and performing Haugaard is an artist who is inquisitive and continuously searches for something new. Haugaard founded and directs two summer schools: Haugaard's International Fiddle School and Haugaard's West Denmark Fiddle School in 2008 and 2015, respectively. His teacher was the local organ player in the village of Harndrup in the northwest region of the island Funen where Harald grew up. From the very beginning folk music was his biggest inspiration. One of his earliest and greatest influences was his grandfather Johannes who was a local wood carver and traditional accordion player.
