Short intro

Fallin' in Love is the third studio album by the band Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds and their first for Playboy Records with whom the band had signed in 1974 about a year after parting ways with their inaugural label Dunhill Records. The band's vocalist and guitarist, Dan Hamilton, wrote the majority of the material for this album some of which he co-wrote with his wife, Ann. Drummer Alan Dennison also contributed his songwriting abilities for this album with Barroom Blues and Love Is. By the time we married, Dan, Joe Frank, and Allan Dennison were working on a new album of original songs. As fate would have it, Dan had some difficulty coming up with lyrics for 3 songs on the album. I submitted my ideas for 'Fallin' In Love,' 'Winners & Losers,' and 'Love Is. Danny loved the lyrics and I had my first hit record, 'Fallin' In Love. Barry from Sauquoit, NyOn August 9, 1975, Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds performed Fallin' In Love on the Dick Clark ABC-TV Saturday-afternoon program 'American Bandstand. At the time the song was at 15 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, two weeks later it would peak at 1 for 1 week and it spent 17 weeks on the Top 100. Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds, Falling in Love album from 1975, was one of my favorite LPs. I never did get around to buying the Love and Conversation LP. Falling In Love has been on my Wish List since the beginning of the CD era. about 19 years When I saw this being released on CD, I had to pinch myself. I did notice Fallin In Love did seem a little bit slower then the version on the album. The liner notes are very good as they state Tommy Reynolds left the band in 1973. Alan Dennison joined the band but they retained the name of Hamilton ,Joe Frank & Reynolds for marketing reasons. Dan Hamilton sadly passed away on December 23, 1994
