Wright changed his approach to songwriting for the album by collaborating with other writers on six of the nine songs. Given Gary Wright's success with Dream Weaver, his various follow-up albums were criminally neglected, which makes the re-issue of this and the other releases that were of the same era all the more important. Always a main component of Spooky Tooth, Gary Wright cut his own identity with keyboard-based, melodic songs which combined elements of progressive rock with white soul, geared to his plaintive, falsetto voice
