Their debut, Melodica, holds promise, but too often the songs rely on the same lightweight framework and become hard to separate. Vocalist Aggie E. Peterson has an attractive, breathy delivery and Per Martinsen's layered backgrounds are well built. Running Boy and Amygdala both have enough good ideas to make them distinctive, and a guest appearance from trumpeter Nils Petter Molvær makes Klong exciting.
