What an interesting instrumental 12" sampler from these Japanese guys. I do believe that Japan has one of the most interesting underground creativity culture. Really don't know if this stuff is sort of mainstream there (seriously, i doubt) but not in EU for sure. So, What do we have here? First one, Liberate, is a 115 bpm laid back balearic track, made up with lo-fi drums, bass drone and pentatonic guitar loops. Very easy, damn easy, but effective. Second, Undefeated, is a dreamy massive 95 BPM downtempo stomper, smirking an eye to Traks' Drums Power and Jan Hammer's Crocket's Theme, definitely my favourite on this EP. On the flip we find the main title, Black Moon, a vintage analog synth sequencer cascade (maybe a tribute to Klaus Schulze?), backed with a sort of hip-hop beat running at 93 BPM. Supernova follows the theme of Black moon, slightly slower, with "waterfalls" of sequenced synths, another well done mix, very distensive and relaxing. Finally, a record worth to buy, 4-in-1 of good music (or musiq in this case!), would be appreciated by most downtempocosmic lovers. I recommend also other single, III - European Edition. As a note, the mastering is curious. Cut at 45 RPM with a very packed groove expecially in the (few) quiet areas. Run-out is less than half centimeter on A-Side. It means a not so loud cut, but with overall quality sound and good dynamic.
