They influenced a number of grunge, punk rock and noise is the fourth studio album by San Francisco-based punk rock band Flipper, released on May 19, 2009 by MVD Audio, The album was issued more than 16 years after their previous studio album, American Grafishy, which was released in 1993. Love is the only Flipper studio album to date to feature former Nirvana member Krist Novoselic and recording sessions took place at Murky Slough Studios, Novoselic's property in Washington. It is the only Flipper studio album to feature former member Krist Novoselic. It was released in 2009. Recording sessions took place in 2008 at Murky Slough Studios, Novoselics property in Washington. Turning their heads and their overall attention over to Love, Flipper have worked on a batch of brand new material since American Grafishy. Needless to say, but must be said anyway, it certainly is a step up above their early 90s work. While Grafishy seemed to lack major direction overall in their classic sound, Love pulls no punches and starts off with the raucous, bass driven soon to be Flipper classic Be Good, Child and as mentioned before, Novoselic nails it on the head.
