Fanny's fourth long-player would also be the last to include the original quartet, as June Millington guitarvocals and Nickey Barclay keyboards would be replaced by Patti Quatro guitarvocals and Brie Howard percussion on the band's final album, Rock'n'Roll Survivors 1974. Under the production of Todd Rundgren, Fanny pulls out one of their most ambitious efforts, while retaining their abilities to mix anthem-esque rock with increasingly introspective ballads. This album solidified Fannys presence as a major UK act as many of Fannys final single releases failed to chart in the USA but did well in the UK markets. Trivia: Alice was drunk while recording the vocals for Solid Gold. Solid Gold would be recorded by another drunken drummer: The Whos Keith Moon.
