Short intro

The Brunt - EitherOrchestra. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Album 1992 9 Songs. The Brunt EitherOrchestra. EitherOrchestra EO is a jazz group formed by Russ Gershon in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in 1985. EO is configured as a small big band, with three saxes, two trumpets and one or two trombones. EO's is characterized by a heavier and more orchestrated sound than that of a smaller jazz combo, but remains more streamlined and improvisation-oriented than most big bands. At the time of their formation the EitherOrchestra asked, Why should a seven-horn band only limit themselves in ensembles to playing three basic parts for trumpets, trombones, and reeds when having seven parts would be much more exciting Gradual tempo changes within a song the use of emotional outbursts, humor, and group improvising and the ability to look both backwards and forwards stylistically at the same time are qualities that make the EitherOrchestra a logical outgrowth of Charles Mingus' innovations. Since the band's inception in 1985, the guiding force behind EitherOrchestra has always been composer and tenorsoprano saxophonist Russ Gershon. Under Gershon's leadership, the ensemble has successfully balanced serious musicianship and respect for the jazz tradition with a quirky and sometimes off-the-wall sense of humor
