He established Virtue Records in 1991 as a record label for his work and for instrumental acoustic guitar music. In December 1982, he began performing an annual concert in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He received a Grammy Award for his participation in the album Henry Mancini: Pink Guitar Solid Air, 2004, for which he arranged and performed Moon River. I was lucky enough to attend a record release party for this album back in '87, when it was available only on vinyl. The cassette came out a few months later. Long since relegated to the dustbin of LPs, Night Birds fell off my playlist until I found it on CD. It is just as fresh and wonderful now as it was when Ed played Duet live at the Press Room in Portsmouth.
