Ed Condor - Salto Mortale Album

The remix version (B-side) begins with a silent, but surprising sound that makes the listener very curious of what will follow. A heavy beat starts and after a while a short sample that will be used as the melody later, is brought into the pumping beat. You will hear this immediately: this is not just trance, but serious hardtrance that will give you goosebumps when the climax has arrived!
This track surely knows how to build up a climax to keep the listener focused on the track. During the track more and more sounds are coming up and – inevitably- the climax arrives. A spacey vocal says "salto mortale" and then the track itself explodes with energy. The melody is very powerful, unfortunately it becomes repetitive after a while. Actually, that's the only weakness of this track.
Very surprising in this track is the fact that it exists of 2 parts. After about 4 minutes the song comes to an end. At least, that's what the listener thinks, yet it could not be further from the truth. Another sound is brought in and is played together with the previous sample, but with the same melody as before.

The extended version on the A-side is also very good. The track begins even more mysterious and more "trance-like". Sounds like beating on drums are presented during the warming-up of the track and the vocal saying "salto mortale" announces the melody again. The melody is quite the same as in the remix version, but made with another sample.
During the melody, you can also hear the sound of drums, which adds another dimension at the track, but it is repetitive as well and less powerful than the remix version.
I definitely prefer the remix version of Salto Mortale, but unfortunately few people know this vinyl.
