Short intro

London Fog 1966 - The Doors. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. London Fog 1966 is a live album by the American rock band the Doors, released on December 16, 2016 by Rhino Records. It contains a previously unreleased live performance at the London Fog in Los Angeles in May 1966. It was recorded by spectator Nettie Pena before the band released their highly successful debut album on January 4, 1967. Considered the earliest known live recording of the Doors, London Fog 1966 includes versions of eventual album tracks and covers of blues standards. The Doors - London Fog 1966 1966. London Fog 1966 features those seven songs, supplemented by two tracks of tunings that could've easily been excised, on CD and vinyl, accompanied with a bunch of memorabilia designed to entice collectors. Although the quality of the production is high - the oversized box is handsome and the photo inserts and posters luxurious - the attraction is the live music, the earliest known recording of the Doors. Many of the countless Doors live albums are far from essential, but this one feels genuinely important. The recently discovered 1966 audience recording from a gig at the Los Angeles club London Fog captures the band in their lesser-known embryonic period. Their sound is already in place and Jim Morrison is on the verge of becoming the Lizard King, using the near-empty Sunset Strip venue to develop the necessary stagecraft to get his mojo rising. Recorded at the London Fog 8919 Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood, CA in May 1966. Recorded off the stage on a 14 reel to reel recorder. Codice a barre e altri identificatori. This release is not worth the money in my opinion and that's coming from a lifelong huge doors is a cool to hear an early show but it's pretty lack luster and boring and the extras are pretty worthless besides the pictures I don't need a copy of a London fog coster or a crumbled up set list. if this was released just on 10 inch or cd for 10 or 15 dollars it would be worth it but 50 dollar price tag it way to much for its musical value. As London Fog 1966 comes out, the Doors camp is gearing up to commemorate the golden anniversary of the group's first album during 2017, though the plans are still being finalized. We've got some ideas I can't give them way yet, but there will definitely be some cool stuff happening with the Doors, says Krieger, who's also planning to release a new solo album in the new year. He does confirm a major festival dedicated to the Doors is planned in London, while he and Densmore are hoping to release a film from their A Celebration For Ray Manzarek tribute concert l

I think its more for the completists and die hards. The box looks nice and is put together very well. But i think the price/quality is a little overdone. You get like 25 mins of music for a lot of money and to this day im not sure if the items in the box can make up for that. Id givd this release 2.5 * and the advice to only buy this if you are a real die hard doorsfan, otherwise: stick with the original albums and live albums.

Agreed. This should be priced closer to $25-30 for what it is. Great recording and a must have for big fans, but way to expensive.

I agree that for the amount of music you get, it's an overpriced record. With that being said, I'm actually surprised they weren't charging more for it, and for hardcore doors fans they did a beautiful job with the packaging and the extras.

Unclear how many were made, but as of this writing, Warner has less than 400 left.

This is a great release. It is much money and a fetishy object, but hearing it made money well spent.
