He claimed that he was born in London, England while his parents were on vacation, and that he was named after that city. His father was Mike Levine, a wealthy New York garment manufacturer. Dinah Lee loved fashion and created her own look using a bit of Kiwi ingenuity. She and her friends hung out with Marianne Faithfull, met the Small Faces and Mick Jagger, among others.
