Notes

The Swamp Gas CD was a DAM project about the sightings of UFOs especially the 1966 Dexter, Michigan incident. It was packaged in plastic 7" baggy with a topper and included a newspaper and sticker. A limited boxed edition of 200 was produced with a cosmic clip-art booklet, UFO dirt and other extras.

Also of considerable interest is the accompanying Swamp Gas Gazette newspaper, which is chock-full of articles on UFOs, UFO-based religions, and unexplainable garage band fictions mixed with descriptions of psychedelic trips and illustrated with cosmic clip art images. Destroy All Monsters were an influential Detroit band existing from 1973 to 1985, with sporadic performances since. Their music touched on elements of punk rock, psychedelic rock, heavy metal and noise rock with a heavy dose of performance art. Their music was described by Lester Bangs as anti-rock. They earned a measure of notoriety due to members of The Stooges and MC5 joining the band, and Sonic Youth singerguitarist Thurston Moore compiled a three compact disc set of the group's music in 1994.
