Short intro
Titled STRANGE TOO - ANOTHER VIOLATION it features Anton Corbijn's videos for PERSONAL JESUS, POLICY OFTRUTH, ENJOY THE SILENCE, CLEAN, HALO and WORLD IN MY EYES. The video to 'HALO' features Martin as a clown, Dave as The Strongest Man In The Universe and Alan and Andy as two peculiar 'undertaker' looking characters. There is one for each of the four singles, plus two bonus videos, for Halo and Clean, exclusive to Strange Too. After working with Depeche Mode in Black & White Strange, Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn turned to Color for the Mode's next set of music videos from their then newest album, Violator. The result is a wonderful collage of music and visuals that never let you down. Is it any wonder Violator is considered by many including myself to be DMs best album . Strange Too - Another Violation by Anton Corbijn is the third music video compilation by Depeche Mode, featuring more videos directed by Anton Corbijn, released. Depeche Mode have announced a live album and concert film documenting their performances in Berlin last fall on the Delta Machine tour. The film was directed by Anton Corbijn, who has worked with the band numerous times in the past. The CDDVD Live in Berlin will be out November 17 via Columbia. Also included in the package is an acoustic session filmed at a Berlin brothel, and a Blu-ray CD of Delta Machine. The live album will be released separately as a double CD, too. As with its predecessor, Corbijn shot all six videos in Super-8. The tallest woman in the Halo video is a young Jen. Once again it's Anton Corbijn and the Mode boys doing odd things, this time with Super 8 film and songs from Violator. Prone to being incomprehensible, given to low-tech grunge imagery to go with high-tech music, it's still peculiarly repeatable. It's just a shame they didn't include Strange as part of the package.
