Given Mijk Van Dijk's love of all things Japanese, it was no coincidence this track ended up being licensed to a German label.

All the mixes are superb, but the Paul Van Dyk remix stands out as one of his best pieces. In terms of style, it is very much in the Sasha circa mid 1990s mould. To say it's dreamy would be an absurd understatement.

This surprised the hell out of me. Heard this when my friend picked this out of his crate at random.

The variety on this record is great; the Mijk van Dijk remix of of the track somewhere between melodic, old school trance and tribal tech and probably my favorite out of the assorted versions. Something i'd probably spin regardless of it's age. Also, it's great to hear the talent of Mijk van Dijk; who i've remembered for his outstanding work on the Agetec mech-game title "Armored Core".

LOL the title of the next mix always cracks me up. "The Positive Ways Acid Rainbow Remix". While that does sound like horrible cheese for a name, the track itself has some solid elements as a tripped-out funk-house record with a pulsing, synth-drone that dominates the the ear of the listener. Very surprising, in a good way that is.

Next, the "Paul van Dyk Pot of Gold Remix". Very old school here, with evidence of the age of this track in the rather crude drum work. Still solid though, sounds better when spun up-tempo at around 145 bpm. Has PvD's classic ebb and flow though with some great arrangement and FX on the vocals.

Lastly, the Original Mix. While a bit cheesy with the dueting male and female vocals, It still has a great arrangement and structure with a great deal of restraint for the era of trance it came from. Very mature drumwork as well; replacing the classic 4-bar end 4-&-1 break kick with some offbeat pick-up's to the 4/4 kick 2nd and 4th beats. A great track to mix with, it's arrangement perfect for brief or extended transitions.

All in all, the sound of the record really grabbed me with the style of the main melody; very ethereal and uplifting without getting too hard or over-the-top. sounds alot like the style of trance that James Holden is partial too.

It's old though... 1996. Good luck finding the vinyl.
