The group's best-known single is Groove Is in the Heart, which was released from their 1990 debut album, World Clique, and was a Top 10 hit in multiple countries. Dancefloor Oddities & Sampladelic Relics. Deee-Lite Format: Audio CD. This was the first CD of Deee-lite I ever bought and liked it right away. It's a techno, beat-driven remix album, but it still maintains the funky grooviness deee-lite is known for, in fact it's better than their real albums. Sampladelic Relics & Dancefloor Oddities carries a more ubdated techno sound, but manages to capture the fun soul of Deee-lite very well. The songs flow into eachother nicely and are occasionally preceded by short tracks, for example the slam poetry of Kier on the track Mind Melt. Listening to this almost reminded me of listening to the rave compilations "Welcome to the Future" that came out in the early 90's. It's dancey, ravey, trippy, and so on.... It was really well compiled and doesn't sound like it would be out of place at a club or a rave. My favourite of the new remixes was Ian Pooley's remix of 'Power of Love'. It was hard to sit still while listening to this compilation of remixes, new and old, (but all basically old now). Listening to it really makes you wonder what a fourth Deee-Lite album would've sounded like and is a bright ending to Deee-Lite's catalogue, excluding best hits compilations of course.

First, it was a big deception to learn that Deee-Lite's fourth album was only a compilation of remixes and not an album of original tracks. Also, note that several versions here have been released previously on 12" and CD Singles.
Although the choice of the remixers is tight, the results are not always probant. The old stuff is still very good: the Murk Boys with "Pussycat Meow", Masters At Work with "Runaway", Method One with "Call Me" and the Pal Joey track "How Do You Say... Love" which uses a sample of "Falling In Love" by Surface. The new versions are either variations (the Supa DJ Dmitry & DJ Silver mixes) or complete reinterpretations. Ian Pooley suceeds in giving a new life to "Power Of Love" in a very good House version. Todd Terry gives us a glimpse of his single version of "Bittersweet Loving" (unfortunately unreleased).
Note that there is a technical problem at the beginning of "Runaway", where we can hear - for a second or so - the percussions of the Carl Craig remix of "Heart Be Still".
I wish Deee-Lite could have continued to live, because they were really good together, and this compilation is just a glimpse of what they were able to do. I miss them a lot.
