Opening the release is title cut ‘Metronomic’, a rugged analogue-led record employing sweeping dub-techno synth lines, heavily distorted rhythms, and naturally flowing organic percussion. While the tension building string sounds and underlying melodious synth stabs add a warm charm and cosseting vibe to the composition.

Then on the latter half of the release we see Jason & Darko present ‘The Devils In The Detail (Original Instrumental Mix)’, as the name would suggest an Instrumental take on the original cut due to be released on the long player, this time they take a more off-kilter, broken approach with the drum programming to give the cut a bumpy drive, while bubbling arpeggios, dreamlike ethereal melodies and squelching, resonant acidic tones generate a classic- meets-contemporary feel to things.
