Short intro
Cypress Hill is the eponymous debut studio album by the American hip hop group Cypress Hill, released on August 13, 1991 by Ruffhouse Records and Columbia Records. It was critically and commercially successful, becoming their second-most successful album with over 2 million copies sold and getting certified double Platinum by the RIAA. The album is broken down track-by-track by Cypress Hill in Brian Coleman's book Check the Technique. Cypress Hill IV is the eponymous fourth studio album by American hip hop group Cypress Hill, released on October 6, 1998 by Ruffhouse and Columbia Records. The skeletons on the cover are posing as the three wise monkeys see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Rapper Barron Ricks was featured on several of the album's tracks. IV was certified Gold by the RIAA. Cypress Hill. Tired tales of guns, gangs, and of course, weed fire up Cypress Hill IV, making it sound more like a lame attempt at a reunion gig than the next chapter in the revitalization of their career, which it should be. Worse, they've added stupid sex raps to their repertoire, dulling their edge and throwing Cypress Hill into the discard pile with countless other once-relevant hip-hoppers. Still, the sonic landscape that they trudge across here is occasionally sprinkled with some wild scenes. Cypress Hill - IV review: Somewhat of a return to form for the stoner SoCal trio but notch below their first two albums. After making nursery rhymes about killing cops on their debut, the song Pigs Cypress Hill do a song from the other side's perspective. B-Real embodies the persona of a corruptobviously police officer on Looking Throug the Eye of a Pig and tells a incredibly harsh tale about the things he's seen .
