Short intro
Hat Full of Stars is the fourth studio album by American singer Cyndi Lauper, released in 1993. As of 2003 the album has sold 119,000 copies in the United States. Hat Full of Stars deviated from Lauper's pop-rock sound of previous projects and delved heavily into alternative music. It also furthered her growing penchant for writing topical songs about social issues. Songs in album Cyndi Lauper - Hat Full Of Stars 1993. Cyndi Lauper - That's What I Think. After Cyndi Lauper's disappointing A Night to Remember release, she took matters into her own hands for 1993's Hat Full of Stars, giving more of her attention to the writing and to the album's overall musical appearance. Unfortunately, the same results resurfaced, and the album failed to give Lauper a single, which at least A Night to Remember did. Hat Full of Stars has Lauper all over the map, converging into folk, soul, and other styles that have her sounding out of context and diluted. Hat Full Of Stars. Holly George Warren. Now, with her fourth - and most ambitious - album, Hat Full of Stars, a more serious Lauper has returned with a fresh sound that mixes 60s soul, 70s funk, 80s pop and 90s hip-hop, as well as bits of folk and ethnic music. And her multioctave voice has never sounded better, hitting highs, lows and everything in between. The album has sold 119,000 copies in the United States. The album was recorded at the Hit Factory, Sigma Sound, Messina Sound, Right Track, The Enchanted Cottage, The Ranch, and World Famous Orbit Sound. The album was co-produced by dance-music artist Junior Vasquez and is highly typical of his work of the time. Released June 30, 1993. Hat Full of Stars Tracklist. That's What I Think Lyrics.
