Short intro
Deidre House Consider the Source is basically a jam band at heart, but by tastefully combining a diversity of influences- jazz, world music, metal, to name a few- they transcend the genre. They're definitely virtuosos, but they use their skills wisely, not to show off at every opportunity. The guitarist has a 2nd neck- a fretless guitar synth- that he uses with an extensive pedal board setup for an insane timbral range. In 2009, Consider the Source released their second full-length album, Are You Watching Closely and quickly followed with a third full-length album, That's What's Up, in 2010. In 2012, Ahiyon left the group, and was briefly replaced by Louis Miller, before Jeff Mann took over on the drum kit. The band toured Germany and Israel. The new trio continued to produce original material which was constantly being introduced at shows and resulted in two live albums. Around this time, the band also began to play full acoustic sets at summer festivals. Album 2010 8 Songs. Get Started. Internet Service Terms. Cookie Warning. If intergalactic beings of pure energy, after initiation into an order of whirling dervishes, built some kind of pan-dimensional booty-shaking engine, powered by psychedelics and abstract math, it'd probably just sound like a CTS tribute band. Drawing from progressive rock, fusion and jazz, with alien sounds soaked in Indian and Middle Eastern styles, CTS blends disparate parts into a striking, utterly original whole. Consider the Source.
