'Burning Fire' was recorded in 1968, produced by Ernest Wilson's brother Kenneth Wilson and his aunty Evelyn Carty with the Hippy Boys providing the rhythm track. B-side is a medley of some of the Clarendonians greatest hits originally recorded for Coxsone Dodd's Studio One stable

The Clarendonians are a ska and rocksteady vocal group from Jamaica, active initially from the mid- to late 1960s. They reformed in the 1990s and continue to perform live. The Clarendonians were originally Fitzroy Ernest Wilson and Peter Austin who would also record as part of The Soul Lads, both from Hayes in Clarendon Parish, the duo coming together in 1963, at that time Peter was 17 years old, Ernest was 11. Although they were together for less than four years, they scored with such hits as You Can't Keep A Cool Man Down, She Be Do Be and their biggest smash, You Can't Be Happy.
