Short intro

The Lick On The Tip Of An Envelope Yet To Be Sent - Circulus. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. The Lick on the Tip of an Envelope Yet to Be Sent is the debut full-length album by psychedelic folk band Circulus. Miri It Is - 2:36. My Body Is Made of Sunlight - 3:54. The Scarecrow - 4:56. Orpheus - 3:07. We Are Long Lost - 5:34. Swallow - 3:59. The Aphid - 5:19. Candlelight - 3:28. Power to the Pixies - 6:14. Michael Tyack - vocals, guitar, saz, cittern. Lo Polidoro - vocals, harmonium. Sam Kelly - vocals, drums. Oliver Parfitt - keyboards, moog. George Parfitt - bass guitar. This trippy effort doesn't run away from the stereotypes of either psychedelic music or medieval folk instead, the London-based Circulus affectionately embraces those stereotypes, and the end result is a disc that is bound to be loved by some and mocked by others. But the band's odes to fairies, pixies, and scarecrows - although highly self-indulgent at times - still have a lot of meat on their bones and can be strangely charming and even ethereal. This is reflected in their varied work, which they describe as hurtful to people's ears. The band uses a mix of modern and medieval instruments, such as the lute, bongos and the modern bass and electric guitars. They claim to believe in fairies and pixies. View wiki. While the 40 odd minute album length might be retro, the production is crystalline and the band marshals more technology in the form of confident lead guitar, synthesizers and other keys than would be the typical bill of fare, without sounding out of place amongst the citterns, flutes and crumhorns. If the tripped-out cover art and whimsical album title didn't give it away, the LARP-tastic band photos on the interior of The Lick On the Tip of an Envelope Yet To Be Sent gives it away: Circulus are very much throwback kids, a musical project intent on recapturing the spirit of those freak folk bands of late 1960searly
