From the Album All On My Own Written by Chrissy Jackson, Guido Maibaum and Andre Jackson was born on 14 August 1955 in Choma, Northern Rhodesia now Zambia, but the family moved frequently, first to Bulawayo Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, then to Mufalira Zambia and finally to Salisbury now Harare, Zimbabwe where she completed her schooling. During her last year in Zimbabwe 1980 she formed her own band and started singing professionally, especially on the cabaret circuit in Harare. She then moved to South Africa where she joined a rock group, Celebration, for four months, before trying her hand at solo gigs in the Free State.
