Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois in 1995. The band was originally composed of brothers: Pete Loeffler lead vocals and guitar, Sam Loeffler drums and percussion and Joe Loeffler bass and backing vocals. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed-in as the bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini. The trio of brothers sound great live. Because of the nature of Pete's guitar riffs on the album, the concert's sound quality was somewhat hollowed compared to their previous albums. The vocals were on key, and everybody did a great job performing, but there were some parts in Forfeit and An Evening With El Diablo that seemed a little subpar. Pete did throw in a little augmentation into some of their songs, like an ending solo on An Evening. Content - 6 I was disappointed by the content of Live From The Norva. It contained a small amount of backs. This live recording from Chevelle was filmed on May 23, 2003, at The Norva in Norfolk, VA. After successfully touring with bands including Stone Sour, The Disturbed, Audioslave, and making an appearance at Ozzfest, this headline show forms a triumphant culmination of all their hard work to date.
