According to artist Dave Patchett, the artwork, when seen in full, has a dark and a light side, with an asexual hero character appearing at ease in both. Frontman Lee Dorrian's interpretation of it is of a life without religion, where you have to take both the good and bad and make the choices for yourself. Along with the early material chronicled on In Memorium, Forest of Equilibrium remained an artifact of Cathedral's early gloom sound before they eventually evolved into one of the more exciting heavy metal bands of the mid-'90s. Still fresh from his infamous stint as the looming vocalist for the original and most notorious grindcore band ever, Napalm Death, vocalist Lee Dorrian teams up with the guitarist duo of Garry Jennings and Adam Lehan to create some of the most lumbering heavy metal ever heard. Forest of Equilibrium. Metal 1991. Picture of Beauty & Innocence Intro. Dorrian, of Cathedral, decided that a record of this nature really needed authenticity. He, through all means possible, made himself as depressed as possible during the recording of 1991's Forest of Equilibrium. Now, that could be a review of this record in itself. But there is so much, oh so much more to Forest of Equilibrium than that. I'm writing this review because Decibel inducted this record into their hall of fame but there was no review for it on here More people need to know about how influential this was. Before this, Doom Metal was simply heavy metal with an obsession. Cathedral show the grotesque dimension of doom, that will be explicit in the following albums - while here it is still subtle. A strange cemeterial bad trip, as the cover artwork shows. 답글 나에게 알림 Helpful. Doctorbenway23. Stream Forest Of Equilibrium, a playlist by Cathedral from desktop or your mobile device.
