Short intro
Feast of Wire. SC Distribution, Zebralution от лица компании Quarterstick. Joao Gilberto & Stan Getz - Full Album 1963. Feast of Wire is the fourth studio album by American indie rock band Calexico. The album was released on June 18, 2003 through Quarterstick Records. The album was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Joe Tangari of Pitchfork called Feast of Wire Calexico's first genuinely masterful full-length, crammed with immediate songcraft, shifting moods and open-ended exploration, and the album we always knew they had in them but feared they would never make. Listen free to Calexico Feast of Wire Sunken Waltz, Quattro World Drifts In and more. 16 tracks 47:35. Calexico is a Tucson, Arizona based, Americana, Tex-Mex, indie rock, band. The band's two main members, Joey Burns and John Convertino, first played together in Los Angeles as part of the group Giant Sand. They have recorded a number of albums on Quarterstick Records, while their 2005 EP In the Reins recorded with Iron & Wine has reached the Billboard 200 album charts. Album 2003 16 Songs. Feast of Wire is their most disciplined release to date: a relaxed, subdued collection on the surface, its highlighted by short instrumental bursts of pedal steel, cello, synthesizers and whatever other instruments they happen to find. Burns takes a few solid turns at the mic, acting as a non-intrusive tour guide to the less-than-perfect world of Sunken Waltz. Stevie Nicks isn't quite the joke its title suggests, but rather a likeable folk song. Feast of Wire does indeed offer a tantalizing array of sounds new and old from Calexico, including more pop-oriented takes on their already eclectic style as well as some different sonic twists. Though the album features plenty of the atmospheric interludes of their previous work - such as the squelchy, piano-based Stucco and the cello- and pedal-steel-driven Whipping the Horse's Eye - the overall feel of Feast of Wire is one of restraint and refinement. Songs in album Calexico - Feast Of Wire 2003. Calexico - Sunken Waltz. Calexico - Quattro World Drifts In. Calexico - Stucco. Calexico - Black Heart. Calexico have always been restless experimenters, juxtaposers and journeymen, crafting a unique fusion ofn bluesy Mariachi, desert-rock and jazz. All of Calexico's previous strengths come home to roost on Feast of Wire, the band pushing their experiments further than ever before and pulling each of them off unfalteringly. In short, Calexico have created their first genuinely masterful full-length, crammed with immediate songcraft, shifting moods and open-ended exploration. A brief acoustic guitar figure and pounding waltz beat open things at a crisp gait. Calexico 24-02-2003. Общая длительность:1 h 34 min. Band Name Calexico. Album Name Feast Of Wire. Type Album.
