Brian Davison 25 May 1942 15 April 2008, nicknamed Blinky, was a British drummer, best known for his work in The Nice. He was born in Leicester and died in Horns Cross, Bideford, Devon. In the late 1950s, Davison played drums in various skiffle groups in and around the youth clubs in north-west London, especially around Baker Street. He rose to prominence drumming in the 1960s in Mark Leeman Five and then progressive rock group Shinn with keyboard player Don Shinn and bassist Paul Newton. Produced by Davison, but holding only the drum stool, leaving the others take the spotlight, some of the members. Every Which Way is an apt project moniker as this album does that, with no real style to tie it together and nothing that you'd associate with the musician before The Nice or after Refugee. There are bluesy tracks, soft soul pieces, some borderline pop cuts, and only a slight touch of jazz to be heard. I see someone else compares it to Savoy Brown and Traffic, which is probably right. No, it's not at all what I expected. Répondre Me notifier 1 Helpful. Brian Davison - Bed Ain't What It Used To Be 9:34. Brian Davison's Every Which Way - All In Time 9:00. Every Which Way is an unsuspected treasure hidden among the piles of minor prog rock-related albums of the 1970s. After The Nice disbanded, Drummer Brian Davison formed and produced Brian Davison's Every Which Way in Spring 1970. They did record two albums, which are today rare. Graham Bell on keys and lead vocals, Allan Cartwright on bass, Geoffrey Peach on flute and sax. View wiki. Brian Davison's Every Which Way: British drummer, best known for his work in The Nice. Finding plenty of space for an extended brass section, The Light shines all the way through the end of the album, with guitarist Hedley pulling a Neil Young-type of extended solo Cowgirls In The Sand or Cortez The Killer, giving all kinds of drama, plenty of goose bumps and the envy to spin the album againRelated to Brian Davison 's Every Which Way - Brian Davison's Every Which Way
