This album has definitely struck a nerve for me though, at least in a way that hasn't happened in a very long time. While Jesse's approach to techno is almost exclusively experimental, and at times a little too abstract, this album clearly reaches out to the broader trance and progressive house audience and not in a bad way either. A lot of experimental techno can sound washed out and at times lifeless, which is not to say that it has no purpose, but when compared to the emphasis of emotion that's been put into each track here, it's a nice change. Glittervoice is Somfay's most energetically intense work to date. The emergence of Borealis meant an unexpected turn for Somfay, but at the end of the day, much like its worthy genre-defying predecessor, Glittervoice is yet another album not of this reality - a sonic guide to entering full-length songs from Glittervoice by Borealis on your phone, computer and home audio system with voted, Please vote.
