Soul Revolution is an album by Bob Marley and the Wailers. It was produced by Lee Scratch Perry and the Wailers. A dub version with the vocals removed was released as Soul Revolution Part II. In 1988 both versions were released as one set. All tracks written by Bob Marley, except where noted. Side one. Keep on Moving Rainford Hugh Lee Perry, Curtis Mayfield 3:09. Don't Rock My Boat 4:33 an earlier version of the song called Satisfy My Soul on Kaya album. 2, but the original Soul Revolution album, which is logical, but does mean that fans are losing the four bonus tracks that Herbsman offered up, but they do, however, get the instrumental Memphis, which was omitted from the original set. And a further warning is in order: although Pt. 2 is oft-times referred to as a dub set, that's merely for lack of a better term, for the pieces are not dubs at all, but the original Soul Revolution album with the vocals stripped off. SOUL REVOLUTION is the follow up to The Wailers first release outside of Jamaica, SOUL REBEL, and showed the tremendous growth of the band. Many of the songs on this wonderful album would become some of their most beloved hits on other albums, in particular those of Marley. This album was only released in Jamaica as it seems that Lee Perry and The Wailers were fine tuning their skills for what was about to come. This in no way diminishes the impact of the album to me, the songs are still very powerful and lyrical masterpieces and the vocals are exceptionally strongRelated to Bob Marley & The Wailers - Soul Revolution 1 And 2
