Blacklisted - May 27, People Grow, People Go is the fourth studio album by American hardcore punk band Blacklisted. The album was released on February 10, 2015 through Deathwish Inc. When People Grow, People Go is the first release from Blacklisted since 2012's So, You Are A Magician EP, and first full-length studio album since 2009's No One Deserves to Be Here More Than Me. Writing for the album began in late 2013 and sonically is described as being a mix of the band's more experimental styles and hardcore styles. Album 2015 11 Songs. 2015 Deathwish Inc. Those who are familiar with Blacklisteds previous releases will be content to know that this is more of the same, for better or worse. If you hated their chaotic brand of hardcore in the past, then there wont be much here for you. But if you are a fan of angry screams with low budget production, then this may be right up your alley. When People Grow, People Go is a cathartic mess. The music is often fuzzed out behind George Hirschs near indecipherable growl which doesnt show a lot of range. Like most genre descriptors, hardcore is a vague descriptor at best these days. Listen free to Blacklisted When People Grow, People Go Insularized, Turn In The Pike and more. 11 tracks 20:22. Burnt palms hold your anger and don't let it show, don't let it go Tuck it beneath the scars in your palm and watch the callus grow Keep it safe don't let it show, don't let it go Just watch it grow Balled fist hold your forgiveness safe in your hands like a snow globe Fragile now don't. Blacklisted has provided a more than serviceable hardcore album that certainly has its highlights, but often feels stagnant and one dimensional. The most frustrating aspect of the album in general is the fact that it is fairly obvious on many tracks they are attempting to change up their songwriting it just ends up being successful to varying degrees. It ends up simply being a longer version of the monotony experienced throughout When People Grow, People Go. Consequently, much of the album goes by in unremarkable fashion, making even the highlights a chore to get through. It's a shame because there are many moments within songs where Blacklisted do end up getting it right
